What to expect?

NDIS Telehealth Services

Rebound Health Dietitian telehealth services give participants the freedom and flexibility to access great quality care no matter where in the world they are. We understand the number of appointments, travel time and support required getting too and from appointments can be a barrier to optimal healthcare.

Rebound Telehealth services aim to bridge the gap for regional & remote communities in accessing high quality nutrition care and address barriers to accessing face to face appointments.

Our dietitians conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments through 1:1 virtual consultation conducted via video call and provide tailored advice, education, support and assistance with meal planning to suit the specific needs and health goals of participants.

  • A referral is not a requirement; however, it is best to speak with your GP if you have noticed a change in habits or digestive symptoms to ensure appropriate medical investigations.

You may be eligible for Medicare care plans depending on your GP’s discretion. If you have a referral from your GP or gastroenterologist please share this with us ahead of your initial appointment.

  • No, this is not required.

Ideally if you have experienced a change in bowel habits and have had investigations for IBS and or gut related conditions your GP should have completed:

    Coeliac screening

    Micronutrient studies: iron, Vit B12.

Inflammatory markers (e.g. CRP and faecal calprotectin)

    Colonoscopy/ gastroscopy if required.

Please send us a copy of any testing to your initial appointment.

If you have not completed any of these tests that is fine, we can discuss a plan for any further medical testing you may require in our initial consultation.

  • If dietetics is part of your cover, then we can process the rebate on the spot at your appointment.

  • This isn’t necessary; we spend the time in the initial appointment to discuss your eating habits and general day-to-day variabilities.

Although if you would find this useful to remember your intake then please bring it along!

This can be particularly helpful for identifying patterns in food triggers for your symptoms.
