rebound is pleased to offer a range of physiotherapy services from our clinics on Sydney's Northern Beaches - SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE!
In order to treat your injury most effectively, it is important for us to get a clear picture of your injury. Your Physio will start with a few questions about the main problem, some questions about your lifestyle and daily activities, and some questions about your general health.
Your Physio will want to understand your main reason for seeking treatment and any goals you may have.
To better understand your problem the Physio will then run through some simple tests to help diagnose your problem. These tests are generally painfree.
After Your Treatment
It is important to realise that what you do after your treatment is very important. Your Physio give you some simple exercises and advice as to how to look after your problem after the consultations.
Finally the Physio will speak to you about a treatment plan to help you to not only get out of pain but to help you get active again and get back to living the life you deserve. Your treatment plan may also include gym exercise, hydrotherapy, massage, or a referral to a GP or Specialist for other tests to help diagnose your problem.
You can see that this process is quite involved, and through this thorough assessment your Physio will get to know you, your problem, how to fix your problem, and how your lifestyle affects your problem.
We use the latest hands-on techniques such as joint mobilisation, stretching, taping, soft tissue techniques and dry needling to assist in pain management and injury recovery. We also focus heavily on personalised exercise programs involving biomechanical analysis, specific muscle activation, strengthening and conditioning exercises, balance and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, postural correction, and core stability training to assist in the restoration of the physical function, injury rehabilitation and performance of the body.
A.R.T. (Active Release Technique)
ART is an innovative soft tissue movement proven to be effective in relieving overused muscles. Headaches, back and neck pain, plantarfasciitis, tennis elbow and shoulder tendinities are just a few of the many conditions that can be effectively treated with ART. An ART session combines specific tissue tension with active motion to cause a dramatic release of adhesions and tissue restriction.
Cupping is an ancient form of alternative medicine that has been used by many cultures around the world for thousands of years. Suction is applied to the skin using glass or silicone cups. The negative pressure from the suction of the cups is what provides the therapeutic effect on the body and local tissues.
