Youth Athlete Program at Rebound
Building Strong, Resilient Young Athletes
Sport is an incredible teacher — but for young bodies, it’s also a time of rapid growth, changing coordination, and increased injury risk.
Rebound’s Youth Athlete Program is designed to help young athletes build the foundations that last a lifetime — not just for performance today, but for health, confidence, and resilience for years to come.
Led by our Exercise Physiologists and Physiotherapists, this program supports young athletes to train safely, move well, and enjoy sport while their bodies are still developing.
This is not about pushing harder.
It’s about building better athletes, the right way.

Who This Program Is For
Our Youth Athlete Program is ideal for:
Young athletes aged 10+
Kids who are:
New to organised sport
Playing multiple sports
Training more seriously or entering representative pathways
Parents who want:
Safe, structured training
Injury prevention and load management
Long-term athletic development, not short-term burnout
Whether your child wants to enjoy sport more, build confidence, or take their performance to the next level, this program meets them where they are at.
What We Focus On
Our program is built around long-term athletic development, not just short-term fitness.
We focus on:
Movement quality and fundamentals
Teaching how to run, jump, land, change direction, and lift safely
Strength, coordination, and control
Building strong, capable bodies that move well under load
Injury prevention and resilience
Reducing common growth-related and overuse injuries
Performance foundations
Speed, strength, agility, balance, and power — taught appropriately for age and stage
Confidence and enjoyment
Because kids who enjoy training stick with it — and that’s what builds great athletes long term
What Makes Rebound Different
At Rebound, this is not “kids fitness” or bootcamp-style training.
Your child is supported by:
Qualified Exercise Physiologists and Physiotherapists
A clinical + performance mindset
A focus on:
Safe progression
Individual differences in growth and development
Technique before intensity
Quality before volume
This means your child gets the benefits of performance training, with the safety and oversight of a clinical environment.

What To Expect
Step 1: Initial Consultation (30 minutes)
Your child will start with a 1:1 consult where we:
Learn about their sport, goals, and injury history
Assess:
Movement patterns
Strength and control
Coordination and basic athletic skills
Make sure the program is appropriate for their age, stage, and needs
Step 2: Group Training Sessions (45 minutes)
They’ll then join our small-group Youth Athlete sessions where they will:
Train in a fun, supportive environment
Learn real skills that transfer directly to their sport
Build strength, confidence, and coordination
Train alongside other young athletes their age
Sessions are structured, supervised, and progressed appropriately over time.
Any Sport. Any Season.
Whether your child plays:
– Football, netball, rugby, basketball
– Athletics, swimming, gymnastics
– Or any other sport
We tailor the training to support:
Their sport
Their season
Their body
Their stage of development
This is general athletic development done properly — the foundation that supports every sport.
Most Importantly: It Should Be Fun
We believe that:
Kids who enjoy training → stay active longer
Kids who feel confident in their bodies → perform better
Kids who train well early → avoid many preventable injuries later
So yes, we train hard — but we also make sure it’s positive, encouraging, and enjoyable.
