Why do you work in the Health & Fitness industry?
I love working in the health and fitness industry for so many reasons- I get to meet new people everyday, of all ages, and all walks of life, learn their story and help them through their healthcare journey.
Pain, disability, or unexpected health challenges in life are all things that can impact both our physical and mental state- but it doesn’t have to be this way! And I love to be able to guide people through recovery, and empower them to live a better life and get them back to the things they love doing.
More specifically- working within Womens health I feel this is such an important and unique area of the industry that sometimes goes without mention. I feel honoured to be able to support my local community of women and encourage them to reach out for help when needed and take control of their health needs.
What are you training for?
General day to day life- to be able to do all the things I love such as running by the beach, bush walks on the weekend, and I am trying to get back into surfing!
What is your typical training week?
I love to be outside, and by the beach- so I usually try to do a few running sessions on the beach during the week. I also love Pilates and take a few classes during the week, as well as teaching a few, which is great as it keeps me moving!
On the weekends I always like to take time to relax, but I will often do a bush walk or a surf!
What is favourite/least favourite exercise?
Favourite exercise- running, and being outdoors!
Least favourite- heavy weights
'Go to' healthy meal/my best cheat meal?
'Eating Good' - A homemade Vietnamese salad, with lots of fresh herbs, vegetables and nuts.
Guilty pleasure - Chocolate is a must for me, and I do like a glass of Red here and there.
