Telehealth, Allied Health & the NDIS - Does it Really Work?

The webinar "Telehealth, Allied Health & the NDIS" is designed to explore the benefits and challenges of providing allied health services through telehealth for National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants.

The webinar will cover topics such as the advantages of telehealth for people with disability, the role of allied health professionals in the NDIS, and best practices for providing telehealth services to NDIS participants. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from experts in the field and engage in discussions about how to optimize telehealth services for people with disability.

By attending this webinar, healthcare professionals and NDIS providers can gain valuable insights into the use of telehealth and its impact on the delivery of allied health services for people with disability.

Exercise Physiology & ASD

Many NDIS Participants are receiving funds in their plans for Exercise Physiology - as a means to improve their health and wellbeing, increase social and community participation, and to help improve their relationships with their peers. However Exercise Physiology is a relatively new profession, and the purpose of this support within the context of the NDIS is relatively unknown.

In this 'lunch & learn' style workshop, join Rebound Academy founders Andrew Daubney and Lauren Tapp as they walk through:

- Who are Exercise Physiologists (and how is this different from Personal Trainers or Physios)

-How exercise can help with NDIS Participants diagnosed with Autism (and ASD)

- How to advocate for funding

- What to expect from referral to an Exercise Physiologist

Exercise Physiology & the NDIS

In this webinar we aim to give an understanding of the role that Exercise Physiologists play in the NDIS. We discuss:

  • What an Exercise Physiologist is, and how they are different to both Physiotherapy and Allied Health Assistants

  • How they are funded through the NDIS

  • Who would be considered eligible and what goals Exercise Physiologists can assist with
