Lauren Tapp

Head of Team Development

I have always had a passion for exercise and health. It all began during my time as an elite athlete when I was playing softball for Australia and progressed to completing my Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise Physiology) (Honours Class 1) from the University of Sydney. However throughout my time at university, I found that my passion wasn’t so much within the elite athlete field, but in the disability and chronic health sector. By combining my love of sport and movement, I am lucky enough to work with amazing and inspiring people.

I utilise a holistic approach that incorporates the most up to date evidence of treatment options, as well as taking the time to understand every person’s individual situation and history. This allows me to tailor my approach and create individualised programs to suit every person’s goals, condition and lifestyle. I believe that everyone can live a fulfilling and active life. No matter how big or small the goal, I understand how much it matters and I am extremely happy to be able to support people to achieve their goals.

During my study I also worked as a disability support practitioner, supporting people living with Cerebral Palsy.
This gives me added insight and knowledge into the disability sector. I also have a particular interest in working with people who are living with osteoarthritis.

I am passionate about helping people to achieve things they didn’t think were possible. For me, there is no better feeling than empowering someone to believe in their skills and abilities. I am constantly inspired by the goals and life-changing outcomes achieved by my clients every single day.
